Donald Leroy Breier, 67, of Put-in-Bay, Ohio, passed away in peace on Thursday, February 27, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on November 9, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of the late Richard and Mary (Powers) Breier.
Don was a graduate of Northwood High School and attended The Ohio State University, where his passion for nature and biological sciences continued to expand. His love for these subjects led him to Put-in-Bay, where he worked and studied at the Ohio State University Stone Laboratory. In younger years he enjoyed working at the Roundhouse and Village Water Department. For the past several decades he was well established as an island handyman and maintenance "problem solver". He was dedicated to his craft and valued the friendships he developed with his customers and their families, many of which now span multiple generations. An avid outdoorsman, Don loved fishing and hunting, always maintaining a keen interest in the nature of the lake and surrounding areas.
