Barrett W. Henley, devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, 92, of Genoa, Ohio, died peacefully, Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, surrounded by his loving family. Barrett was born September 9, 1932, in Toledo, Ohio to Wiley and Frances (Lupton) Henley. He attended Olney School for eleven years and graduated from Waite High School in 1950. Mr. Henley proudly served in the United States Army as a Radio Operator during the Korean War. Following military service, he married the love of his life, Janice Ladd July 18, 1954. Barrett worked in glass manufacturing at Libbey-Owens-Ford – East Broadway Plant for 30 years, retiring in 1985. His strong and relentless work ethic was admired by many coworkers, friends and family. Barrett was well known around Genoa for having immaculate grass and show worthy flowers growing around his home.
